MOBBED

Tonight I fell in love...with a tv show. I was in the kitchen baking cookies and turned on FOX and came across the show "MOBBED". The design of the show is a "flash mob" concept where a special guest is surprised by family, friends or a significant other and so on. In tonight's episode a guy proposed to his girlfriend and they got married, all in the midst of a flash mob! I cannot even describe how awesome it was! I will be watching this show in the future! If you haven't checked it out I suggest you do! Apparently it is not on every week so watch for advertisements for it!

Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Lately I've been on a reading kick and recently finished two books that I loved! The first one was "Something Borrowed", it is a book about Rachel who is the Maid of Honor in her best friend's wedding. Her best friend is named Darcy. However, Rachel ends up hooking up with her best friends fiance and that's where the story unfolds.

"Something Blue" is about Darcy and her adventures when she feels like her life has fallen apart. I don't want to give too much away but I would suggest reading "Something Borrowed" first and then "Something Blue".

The BEST part is that "Something Borrowed" is coming out as a movie in May of this year! Eeek! Can.not.wait!

The Masters

I wanted to get my dad an awesome father's day present and The Masters immediately came to mind! Even though father's day is not until June, I had planned for it to be an early present! Every year he mentions how he would like to go, but his work schedule is so crazy that it has not been possible. Anyways, I started asking around and bidding on Ebay and this morning I found out that I won two tickets (won=get to pay for them ha ha). My dad is so pumped and I am as well! He went a long time ago when my parents lived in Augusta but has not been since! I can't wait to spend the day with my dad. He never does things for himself as he always puts my mom, sister and I first! Masters, here we come!!!

I want spring break in the "real world"

Its been almost 3 years since I graduated from college and it seems that every year I am super envious of everyone going on spring break. My sister is currently living it up in South Beach for the week (so JEALOUS!!!). Anyways, my jealousy always makes me want to plan a vacation and go somewhere! Yes I know I have vacation that I could use and go on spring break, but it is just different now. Plus, I have found that trying to get a big group of people together after graduation is tough. We all have differing schedules, live in tons of different places, have varying amounts of vacation and so on.

Anyways, I am currently working on going somewhere Memorial Day weekend…this was to be the weekend of the wedding. I know I have not talked about it on here but I am not getting married…yes you read that right. While I am doing ok (I have my moments, i.e yesterday was a tough day) I cannot and do not want to be in town that weekend. I want to go somewhere and eat good food, drink, soak up some sun and enjoy some good company. Kal is still planning on coming that weekend so I want to do something extra fun! I am super excited that she is still coming because I will definitely need her. As of now we are considering both Charleston and Myrtle Beach. I think she and I may go to Charleston for one night and then Myrtle Beach the rest of the weekend. I love love love Charleston.

Back to the topics of vacations, somewhere that I would really really love to go to, someday, is Bora Bora. Is it not gorgeous! I want to stay in one of those cute huts over the water (as seen below) and do NOTHING in paradise for a week. I need to start saving.

Its back to my cubicle and work I go. Can’t wait for five so I can enjoy the gorgeous weather here!

St. Pattys Day (a few days late)

I realize that this is a few days late, buut better late then never! I thought I would share some pics and what my St. Patty’s Day entailed. First I had to work all day and then I headed over to my friend Emily’s to “pre-game” with her and her fiancĂ©! We had the Firefly pink lemonade with the alcohol already in it! It was delicious! I will definitely buy it again! It will be a great, refreshing drink this summer! We then headed downtown to a St. Patty’s Day festival at one of the local Irish bars. It was pretty busy and there didn’t seem to be much going on, so we left and went to Carolina Ale House! I love this place and had yet to see it with the roof open (half of the roof opens so it’s an open roof bar)…it was awesome! We put ourselves on the waiting list to get a bite to eat and headed upstairs to the bar to wait! My one goal was to get green beer, and I did!!! I was so excited when we saw people with green beer! I was then a little hesitant as it took me a few minutes to get over the color…but all it was was a bud light! I had a few, and it was a fun night! The place was packed and my mom and dad were kind enough to pick us up  a perk of having a.) Awesome parents b.) Having them live close by/living with them! All in all, it was a great St. Patty’s Day…Friday though was not so great as the beers from the night before and the lack of sleep caught up to me!

Emily and Eddie!

OPI AXXIUM

I love love love LOVE OPI nail polish! The names are fun and I love the colors! Last night I went and got a manicure with one of my friends! It had been forever since I got a manicure and it was wonderful  Anyways, we got the OPI AXXIUM done and it is awesome! It last for up to two weeks and the awesome thing is that it is on your natural nail beds! They can even do a French manicure if you want! This was awesome and I highly recommend you call your local nail salon to see if they can do it! I used to always have fake nails but hated how my nails would feel and how gross they would end up looking! It is a gel manicure that can be soaked off when you want! LOVE!

I got a more natural looking color and I can't remember what its called!

A look at the OPI AXXIUM line and color options!

Sugarland, Little Big Town and Casey James

Last Thursday my sister and I went to the Sugarland/Little Big Town concert! We had seen both Sugarland and Little Big Town before! I randomly bought tickets one day at work for my sis and I and we got GA PIT. I was super excited and made sure that we were there as soon as the doors open. I was aiming for the first row. Sadly, I was not the only one that had planned to be there early either. We got in right as the doors were opening and ended up in the third row not the first I was aiming for, but third row was just as great! The only negative thing I can say about our seats was that it was general admission so people kept trying to get in front of us or push us around. Some people were just flat out MEAN!

All in all, the concert was amazing! Casey James was on American Idol last season and even though I wasn't familiar with him, he was great! Then there was Sugarland and Little Big Town who both sound awesome live! I will definitely see them both in concert again!

<3 my sis and I! She is one of my most favorite people!

Cabin Weekend

I'm finally getting a chance to blog about and share some pictures from Cabin Weekend! My weekend consisted of beer, food, laughs and good times with awesome people :)

Thursday night Kal and I met KT at the cabin for some wine and then on Friday we did the grocery shopping for the weekend!

While we were out on Friday, KT picked up this awesome Packer sweatshirt!

Friday night we stayed in, played drinking games and got a chance to catch up with each other.

Saturday out in the snow! Unfortunately we couldn't make a snowman because the snow was not good packing snow :(

Then we got ready to go to a bar that is nearby and we can walk to :)

What a great weekend! Can't wait for the summer version!

Bogs

This past weekend I was in Wisco for a cabin weekend with some of my friends! That explains why I was MIA for a while and now I've been crazy busy since I returned! I will post pictures and more about the weekend tomorrow but I wanted to talk about the boots I purchased before I went! They are called Bogs and they are amazing! I immediately liked them because the had a bow :) I purchased mine on Endless.com. They were originally $110 but they were on sale for $44 and I got free two day shipping! I will definitely be shopping on Endless again in the future! Anyways, like I said, these boots are great! I will also be able to use them as rain boots...since we don't get a lot of snow here in SC. My favorite part was that they also sent me another pair of ribbons to put in the boots and they were POLKA DOTS!!! Here is a picture of the ones that I got, but I got mine in gray!
