Ode to Kate.

Each week I plan on giving a shout-out to my favorite brands and this week is Kate Spade. I looove Kate Spade and for a couple of reasons.

1.) She has multiple items with polka-dots & bows two of my most FAVORITE things
2.) Everything is COLORFUL
3.) Its not as common as Coach and I feel like you don't see it EVERYWHERE and even if you do it doesn't always scream "Kate Spade"!

If you aren't signed up on Kate's site I recommend it because there are quite a few times that you can get 20% and up off and there's the sample sale, which is great!

These are my favorite Kate items right now :)

This would be perfect for a Clemson game!

Such cute wedges!

“Adults are just obsolete children and the hell with them.”

I celebrated my 24th birthday this past weekend which means that I am now 3 years post 21 and have been out of college for 2 years...scary! 24 is not one of those birthdays that people really look forward to or one that they have a countdown to like you would for your 21st. I was having a convo with my boss the other day about how her daugher just turned 8 and it got me thinking about my 8th birthday and the countdowns for birthdays that I've had in my life. I distinctly remember when I turned 8 and realized that I was HALFWAY to 16. Then when I turned 16 I was excited for 18...not 100% sure why because I don't smoke or gamble but maybe because I was excited to vote. Once 18 was over the countdown to 21 was on and that came and went and now I am 24. The next milestone is 25 in which I can rent a car and my car insurance will go down. I am definitely excited for the latter...but then what happens after 25? I've been prewarned that 25 is on the downward slope to thirty and means that my 20's are halfway over. For now I will enjoy being 24 but all of these countdowns and "birthday milestones" led me to a decision. I am going to create my own birthday milestones starting at 30. I will comrpise a list and celebrate those things each year.

This now brings me to the title of my post. I may be getting older but I still consider myself a child at heart and will continue to be! I've learned that being an adult isn't as fun as it may have looked as a child so I'll continue my youth :)

Growing up in Wisco....

One thing you will learn about me is that I grew up in Wisco and it will always be one of my favorite places! I've been in the south for 6 years now but make it back to Wisco quite frequently! In fact, six of my bridesmaids are high school friends!

Anyways, one thing that I've adapted well to is the style of the South! I love seeing Lilly Pulitzer, Vineyard Vines, Jack Rogers, polka-dots and plaids everywhere! I love that we dress up for games and that us Clemson girls (and other southern school girls) are always on the look out for that perfect oufit in our school colors to wear to a game!

My love for the style of the south will definitely come out in this blog and whenever I find something that I love or a cute site I will be posting it to share!
