Rain rain please stay away!

I just checked the weather and I am not a happy camper as I saw that there are thunderstorms being predicted for tomorrow. This stinks as last football season it rained pretty much every home game except for one. I had high hopes that we could get by with maybe one or two rainy games. I really hope that tomorrow is not the beginning of a repeat of last year :(. However, I am still pumped to tailgate and GO TIGERS!!!

Piperlime pop-up

I was shopping on Piperlime the other day when I saw that they are opening a pop-up store in SoHo!!! The store opens September 9th and closes on October 3 so that it will be open during New York Fashion Week! I was even more excited because I will be in New York City the last weekend in September! Piperlime carries a lot of great designer stuff and you can often get it on sale! However, the best part is that I can use my Gap card AND my GAP coupons! Looks like I will definitely have to go to SoHo while in NYC :)

Groupon

If you live in a bigger city and haven't checked out Groupon yet, I suggest that you do! This site offers deals on anything from food to sports to shopping and more! I get daily emails from them and am always on the lookout for great deals in cities that I may be visiting in the future!

The Meaning Behind Expiration Dates.

The fact that I’m blogging about expiration dates on food proves that I’m getting “older”, sigh. While this is off-topic from the tailgating theme I wanted to share this article because I think that everyone can be “expiration date” wary at times. Lately I’ve felt like I have been throwing away a lot of food because of the expiration date so when I saw this article, "Food expiration dates what do they really mean?" I had to read it! I am definitely the type of person that throws food away the day that it expires or the very next day, especially when it comes to milk. I thought it was interesting that it says that milk is okay for about a week after its expiration date. While I believe the experts, I still don’t think that I can keep it that long but I’m happy to hear about the other items such as yogurt and eggs…
