Happy 25th Kal!

Today is the 25th birthday of one of my most favorite people ever, Kallie! Kallie and I met when we were 8 years old. We played on the same basketball team as kids, that her dad coached and then went to the same high school. It wasn't until our Junior year that we became such good friends. At the time the guys that we were dating were good friends so we ended up hanging out a lot. We ended up becoming best friends and after our Junior year my family and I moved to SC. I went back that fall for my Senior year, but Kallie was the first person to visit me here :) It meant so much to me. She's coming to see me next weekend and I cannot wait! We have been best friends since! In honor of her bday I thought I would share some pictures of us!

Kallie's 18th birthday! Her mom got a bunch of us together at their house to
surprise her! I remember it like yesterday!!

I can't wait to celebrate our birthdays in person memorial day weekend! We haven't been able to celebrate together in years.

Happy 25 Kal! Hope it's wonderful! Love you!!!

Kenny Chesney and my Saturday.

Friday night I went to the Kenny Chesney concert with my co-worker and friend Melissa. Uncle Kracker and Billy Currington opened for him. We didn't see much of Uncle Kracker but we did see Billy Currington and he was awesome...and not bad to look at either ;). Then Kenny came on and he was awesome. He played all of his hits and was really engaging with the crowd. He played one new song and said that he doesn't like to promote new music on tour but really wanted to play this one. I like that he plays the stuff we know. I know that they need to promote their new albums but I think that the radio stations, music videos, etc do enough of that for them. Overall, I will definitely see Kenny Chesney in concert again, same with Billy Currington!

As soon as I got home from the concert I went to sleep and slept in until 10 yesterday! I have not slept that late in I don't know when! Apparently I needed the sleep and it felt great! I then went shopping with my mom and headed to Clemson with my friend Crouch for a graduation party! They had rented a huge inflatable blow up water slide. We hung out for a while and headed back to Greenville.

I ended the evening with some more shopping! I got a new swimsuit from Victoria's Secret and some clothes from Aerie! It was nice not having a million things that I "had" to get done!

Mother's Day Recap

Mother's Day was pretty low key for my family. I have not been feeling good so we started off the morning with brunch. The food was so good. It was a gorgeous day out too!

Gorgeous day outside!

After brunch, my sister and I went and saw "Something Borrowed". We both had been excited to see it and loved it! There were definitely differences from the book but I thought it was fairly close to the book, which made me happy! I also think they set it up perfectly if they ever wanted to make a movie out of "Something Blue". Go see it!! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

What I'm Loving Wednesday.

I'm loving...

-This quote. How true it is.

- This swimsuit...but in a different color.

- DMB on Pandora

-MorningStar Farms® Tomato & Basil Pizza Burgers. These are so good and only 3 pts!

-the fact that we now have a Papa Murphy's close by. Its take 'n' bake pizza and its amazing.

-that tonight I'm going to happy hour after work!

Weight Goals and Rewards!

Ok so I came to the conclusion today that losing weight, getting skinnier, and the like are motivating but if I'm going to really stick with this I need some other motivators. One of my most favorite things to do is shop. I know that sounds so girly...but it literally is something I love to do. Ever since I moved home I've been on quite the shopping spree and its time to put it on a bit of a hiatus. I need to keep working on saving money. Therefore, I thought of things that I will buy myself when I meet each goal. These are things that I have wanted fooorever and would not let myself spend the money on. For now I'm going to post what I will "reward" myself for at my first goal...the 20 pounds mark.

**I am rewarding myself with "things" because in the past I would have chosen food and that is not the answer :)

Twenty Pounds-(getting close to this mark, yessah!)

A gold MK watch...not sure which one I want, yet. I bought myself a gold and silver one and loooove it...as in I've forgotten I have other watches and wear it every.single.day.

Looking forward to the day of being down 20 lbs!

My first "runner" purchase

Today I signed up for my second run. I'm going to do a 3.5 mile run with two of my co-workers. I'm not sure I'm entirely ready for 3.5 miles but I'm going to give it a shot!

Anyways, as I've posted recently I have started to enjoy running...still can't believe I'm staying that. I'm finding that running is a good way for me to clear my head.

For my new "loke" (like and love...not gonna say "love" just yet) of running I'm ordering myself the Garmin Forerunner 305 to keep track of time, distance and calories. I'm not as concerned right now about the time I'm just trying to increase my distance. I've seen this watch on a lot of fellow-bloggers sites and they seem to like it!

Here's to my first "runner" purchase. This weekend I'm going to stop in a local running store and have them help me pick out running shoes! I've also created a running playlist which I will share later in the week!

Kickin' off birthday week!

Last night at my friend Crouch's, we had a birthday party for Emily, Crouch and myself! Their birthdays were earlier in April and mine is this upcoming Saturday! It was a blast! Thanks to everyone that came! I have a bunch of fun stuff this week that I'm looking forward to!
